Le Petit Tour 😍

Well the day finally arrived!!
The caravan was all packed and ready to roll.
We were ready to be on our travels once more.
We were only heading as far as Birmingham for our first stop. Andy had a meeting in Shrewsbury before we headed down to London.
We were travelling, eventually, to France and going to be away for about 7 weeks.

Packing the caravan up once again is a great feeling and my lists are numerous πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
It’s so easy to work through them, everything was soon ticked off and in its place.
Food shopping done, fridge filled, enough wine to get us to France πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Well maybe!!
Going away so soon after my birthday I thought I should take my cards and my lovely cushions too. .The kids lovely faces smiling at us each day are a must and I just love my 2 little caravans.

We had our first 2 nights at Chapel Lane Caravan Club Site near Birmingham. Andy had a meeting in Shrewsbury so this was easily accessible from here. The weather was bright and dry so I ventured out on my bike and called at the local farm shop that had a
lovely deli and bakery. It’s a little worrying that we have only travelled as far as Birmingham and healthy eating seems to be out of the window already!!

Wednesday, and we were up early to travel to Abbey Wood Caravan Club site London. We were going to the House of Commons that afternoon. We were representing Moneywise Credit Union as Andy had successfully secured a Β£70,000 Development award from Lloyds Bank. The event was well attended and Andy spent the afternoon networking (and socialising πŸ˜‚) I enjoyed the red wine and nibbles 😍 and the socialising too πŸ˜‚ The building is amazing and so busy. Just look at that wallpaper!!

The following day Andy had an afternoon meeting and I was heading to Borough Market, this is my favourite place in London. The place that a year ago witnessed that horrible attack is still buzzing and filled with people enjoying life. The food on sale is wonderful and tasters as you browse make it well worth a visit. Once again I made food purchases a plenty.
On Friday we just chilled on site, the weather was beautiful and the squirrels were very entertaining as Andy snapped away with his camera. They loved the Oreos πŸ˜‚

Our final night in the U.K. was spent at The Black Horse Caravan Club Site Folkestone.
The site soon filled up and everyone had plans to be going over to France in the morning. We had a quiet night with a lovely meal and a bottle of wine (Well no change there then πŸ˜‚πŸ˜) We watched Top of the Pops from 1985, so funny!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

We were up early the next morning and after a shower and a cuppa we were soon ready for our journey to the ferry. France here we come 😍😍

. . . . Life is short and the world is wide

Carol & Andy
