As we drove through the mountains the scenery was beautiful. I had letters and postcards to post with French stamps already on them and it was in one of the last villages that we found a post box. We drove through 2 long tunnels, each about 3 miles long. These both had tolls to pay but it was well worth it to save going over the top π
We crossed into Spain at Bourg-Madame without even noticing it. The journey was straight forward and other than a few flags flying here and there we didn’t see many signs of Catalonian demonstrations. We arrived into Sitges at 1:40pm, parked up as soon as we could so Andy could be part of a conference call. π We were then at the campsite and set up quickly. We are getting good at this now. π
We drove down into Sitges and parked up so we could walk along the seafront. The sun went down and the lights came on, it was beautiful. π
The next morning was gorgeous again and we sat in the sun having breakfast in shorts and T-shirts on the 3rd November!
We knew of another campsite in the area, Villanova Park, and went to take a look as we will be returning here later in the month. The site was huge and the facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool and spa. We shall definitely be staying there.
We drove into Villanova and had a stroll along the seafront. Andy was practically drooling over the yachts in the marina there. We sat and had a beer overlooking the sea.
After returning to the caravan for a late lunch weΒ went into Sitges at about 5pm so Andy could take some night time shots. We had a lovely walk with more drooling over yachts π The town was vibrant and busy with bars and shops along the narrow streets.

We headed back to the caravan for supper, wine and to watch the last episode of Night Manager.
The following day the forecast hadn’t been looking too good so we had decided it would be a shopping day. Food supplies needed replenishing but when we got up in the morning it was to see blue skies and sunshine again. Breakfast in the sun once again. Later in the morning after a relaxed morning a few clouds appeared so shopping it was.
Decathlon first, always a favourite π just a few purchases and as we got back to the car the sun was still shining! Visits to Lidl and Mercadona for food and drink supplies then back to the caravan.
We were surprised at our next little visitor……. A budgie! I’m sure he was a lost pet as he stayed by us and kept swooping down then back up to the trees, he even landed on my head ππ
The skies started to light up from time to time as a storm approached. Closer and closer until it was overhead. What a storm!! But we survived ππ
Sunday morning was a little damp after the storm but the sun was shining once again and everything dried quickly. We were packing up to move further south along the coast. I posted postcards to the kids and payed the bill at the campsite.
After breakfast we left the site at 10:50am
On Sunday 5th November we head for Benicassim π.
